Interior Design
“sustainability is not about doing without; its about creating a home that is filled with things that make life better, not harder.”
Our Story
Aurahaus Interiors focuses on client-designer relationships. According to the principles of human-centered design, which puts the client’s needs first, the company hopes to establish an environment where everyone is free to be who they truly are. The company values sustainability in each of its designs and are deeply passionate about it. With the co-operation of human-centred design and sustainability, the company aims to provide clients with services where work can achieve an emotional feeling of comfort and belonging, like a home, promoting the well-being of clients through eco-friendly practices and our specialty- ambience . This is also the source of the brand name, reflecting the idea of bringing the feeling of a home to any space.

Projects
Design Workplace
The design challenge involved creating a personal brand identity for an office space, inspired by Aurehaus Interiors. The solution involved a thorough understanding of the brand's vision, values, and objectives. Space allocations included working, meeting, group working, and sample display. This clean, modern-style office space aims to promote emotional well-being through its soft colours and simple designs.
PG Bison 1.618 Education Initiative
The PG Bison 2024 competition requires a destination hotel in South Africa to boost domestic tourism. Design solutions should feature a reception, waiting lounge, dining area, swimming pool, and sleeping zone. This modern, Mediterranean-style hotel features minimalistic designs with skylight domes that allow guests to experience the night sky.
Hospitality: Brew Pub
The design challenge involves creating a craft beer restaurant and microbrewery that integrates a South African brand's identity, incorporating features like a visible microbrewery, bar area, kitchen, and seated restaurant. Inspired by Sorbet’s Matte Kisses lipstick range in the shade Siren, this exquisite colour creates a strong brand identity that reflects the feeling of confidence and sophistication.
Collab
The group project aims to collaborate with Bridges for Music Academy, a non-profit in Langa, Cape Town, to develop innovative design solutions for a new building. The focus is on creating a creative, original, cost-sensitive, and functional space for students and team members, showcasing South African design and using South African-made items. The studio showcases designs inspired by Xhosa culture and geometric African patterns. The design approach is both aesthetic and culturally meaningful and utilizes locally sourced materials and craftsmanship, not only promoting sustainability, but also creating employment opportunities, which is a challenge that Bridges for Music aims to overcome.
“Curator House” Biodiversity Centre
The project aims to design a "Curator House" for Lapalala Wilderness School, an environmental school in Limpopo, which aims to educate South African children and young people about endangered species. The design should incorporate sustainable and vernacular strategies, include exhibition, presentation, pause and reflection spaces, a casual eating area, and outdoor views. This biodiversity centre utilizes human-centred, biophilic, sustainable, and environmental education design approaches to enhance learning, productivity, and user experience, promoting sustainable development and environmental education. A seed bank will be facilitated as a secondary function enhances students' understanding, memory, and practical skills through experiential learning and promotes reforestation and conservation efforts by providing real-world scenarios.
